Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club
Made to Move Physiotherapy Warwick is proud to announce our partnership with the Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club for the 2018 Cricket Season.
The Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club, based at Kingsley Oval in Kingsley is one of the most successful cricket clubs in Western Australia, both on and off the field. We look forward to bringing an increased professionalism to the largest club in the Northern Suburbs Community Cricket Association.
Our Physiotherapists are looking forward to getting down to the cricket club and providing free injury assessment and advice to the cricketers and other sponsors of the Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club. In addition to the advice that we can provide to the players, we are announicng that we are offering a $10 discount on all treatment sessions with Matt, Andrew or Rachael at MTM Physiotherapy Warwick for all players of the Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club.

This announcement further widens MTM Physiotherapy Warwick’s community involvement. Alongside the Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club we also have association with the Greenwood Netball Club, Whitfords Football Club, the Western Australian Football Commission, the Western Australian Institute of Sport, the Northern Stars and the Stirling Senators.
With regards specifically to cricketers, the Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club players may experience any of the following injuries during the Cricket Season. Ankle sprains, lower back pain, shoulder impingement, planter fasciitis or patella tendinopathy. Of course these are not the only injuries you can sustain but are some of the more common ones.
As a general rule, bowlers (fast bowlers specifically) tend to be more injury prone than batsmen. This is due to the high intensity and impact that fast bowlers routinely put their body under. From toe pain and ankle pain through to lower back pain and shoulder problems, most cricketers experience one or all of these at some stage in their career.
MTM Physiotherapy Warwick are experts in the assessment and management of your cricketing injuries. Our Physiotherapists will run through a detailed subjective and objective assessment to fully understand your injury presentation. Once a diagnosis or the contributing factors to your injury are discovered your Physiotherapist will commence treatment. As a general rule, the majority of injuries require a period of offloading, whether that be done by resting or soft tissue release or joint mobilisation techniques. Once the initial injury has settled and the healing process has commenced a strengthening and return to sport program will be implemented.
If you are a member of Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club we would like to remind you that we will be offering you and your families a $10 discount off all treatments at MTM Physiotherapy Warwick. To book via phone or talk to one of our Physiotherapists today please phone 6244 0345 or alternatively you can book online through our webpage. Good luck for the season ahead and go Kings!
