Andrew StanfordPractice Director
M.Sc (Sports Physiotherapy)
Andrew is the owner and Director of MTM Physiotherapy Warwick. With seventeen years experience as a Physiotherapist he is well placed to treat any condition that you present with. Andrew studied his undergraduate degree at Curtin University and later completed a postgraduate Masters degree in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University Melbourne in 2006.
Andrew has worked as a Sports Physiotherapist with the Australian Olympic Team in Beijing 2008, The Australian men’s water Polo team for ten years, Perth Football Club, WA State Football Teams, The Illawarra Hawks in the NBL and currently with the WA Football Commission’s State Under 18 program.
His areas of clinical interest include Basketball, Football, Water Polo and Swimming. Andrew also has expertise with the treatment of shoulders, hip pain and difficult case presentations.
Rachael DoddsB.Sc (Physiotherapy)
Rachael completed her Physiotherapy degree at Curtin University and has since worked exclusively in the private practice setting.
Rachael enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal issues and working with a variety of people of all ages and walks of life. She is experienced in the treatment and management of spinal pain, headaches, soft tissue and joint injuries, sporting injuries as well as post-operative rehabilitation.
Rachael uses a combination of manual therapy techniques including soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation and dry needling along with Pilates and exercise rehabilitation to help patients achieve their goals. She is passionate about providing evidence based individualised treatment programs to assist patients to reach their full potential. Rachael adopts a holistic approach in the care of her patients and promotes a healthy active lifestyle.
With a particular interest in sports physiotherapy, Rachael has experience working as a sports trainer and physiotherapist for two WA premier league soccer clubs. As a keen triathlete and having completed two Ironman 70.3 events, Rachael has an interest in preventing and treating overuse injuries related to endurance athletes. She draws on her knowledge of gait and running biomechanics to assist athletes to improve their running technique and performance.
B.Sc (Exercise and Sport Science)
Matt graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise Sport Science. Since graduating, Matt has worked in a private practice and has gained experience with clients all across the lifespan. In particular, he has a very keen interest and experience in treating kids with developmental issues as well as those with sporting injuries.
As Matt has completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science alongside his Physiotherapy degree he is knowledgeable in the prescription of exercise rehabilitation. This is something he is extremely passionate about as he believes that every injury requires strengthening and preventative exercises.
Clinically, Matt believes that a combination of therapies aid the recovery of clients and is skilled in the application of Dry Needling. Matt is also the Stirling Senators state basketball league club Physiotherapist, working with kids in the Senators Basketball program through to Professional / Semi Professional Basketball Players. Furthermore Matt has also had experience working alongside international and national Cricketers with the Victorian Bushrangers.
Outside of Physio, Matt enjoys anything in our great outdoors. In particular relaxing with a fishing rod in hand or going for a run up the coast.
